Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Prudentia Classical Academy and welcome to our website. We hope the site conveys the heart of Prudentia and what our school has to offer your family. Our administration and board have prayed for families like yours, seeking a collaborative education for their students. In fact, it is with your family in mind and by God's grace that we have come together to form PCA.

There is a growing need in our area for a school option that breaks the bounds of a traditional education. The classical Christian hybrid school, we believe, is an answer to that call. Prudentia Classical Academy seeks to glorify God and serve our community by providing an academically robust Christian, classical education. Our mission stands to partner with families in classically educating children to think and act biblically, seek truth and virtue, and pursue wisdom in joyful submission to God for His Glory. It has been a privilege to work alongside families to fulfill our mission, since our founding in 2020, and we look forward to many more to come.

Pro Rege,

Meet the Founders

Prudentia Classical Academy was founded in August of 2020 by Trisha Prewitt and Heather Rashall, two homeschool moms passionate about bringing the gift of classical Christian education to their community. Although both were educated in public institutions, they have begun the lifelong task of reclaiming their own education by means of classically educating their children. God has graciously given them a vision to offer the same opportunity to families of SWLA.

Supported by likeminded homeschool parents interested in offering their children a hybrid classical, Christian education, Prudentia hired its first five teachers in the summer of 2020 and offered its first classes during the 2020-2021 academic year. Prudentia now enters another year and continues both to fulfill and to mature its vision for being a distinctly classical and Christian resource to families in the Lake Charles area.
